Sync Warning Message

Updated yesterday

Imagine you’re finishing up your inspections for the day. You hit “sync” on the QC One app, expecting everything to upload smoothly. Suddenly, you see a yellow info message pop up: “Some items were ignored during sync.”
If this happens, don’t worry—this is actually a sign that things are working as they should!

What’s Happening Behind the Scenes?

In the past, if there was a problem—like a missing product, a deleted organisation, unstable network connection or a photo that didn’t upload—the sync process could break, stopping you from continuing your work. That was frustrating and could block your workflow.

Now, QC One is smarter. If it finds something faulty (like a missing variety, a deleted product, or an inspection that can’t be uploaded), it simply skips over those items and keeps syncing everything else that’s valid. You’ll see a yellow warning message letting you know that something was ignored, but your important data will still make it through.

When Will You See the Warning?

You’ll get this friendly heads-up if:

  • At least one photo didn’t upload, OR

  • At least one inspection failed to upload, OR

  • Any object was missing (for example, a missing variety or product)

Why Is This Good News?

This change is designed to help you keep working without interruption. Instead of stopping everything for one small issue, QC One lets you know what happened and moves on—so you can, too. The warning is just information, not a blocker.

What Should You Do?

  • Keep working as usual! The warning is there to keep you informed, not to stop you.

  • If you see this message often, it might be worth checking your product or organisation data, or reaching out for help.
