You can customize the number of days for which inspections are synced to your device. Adjusting this timeframe allows you to filter out inspections that fall outside of a time window in order to reduce sync times and improve app performance, especially if you manage a high volume of inspections.
Important: The sync window is currently capped at a maximum of 30 days for both past and upcoming inspections to ensure system stability.
Adjusting the Sync Window
Follow these steps to define how many days of inspection data should be downloaded to your app.
Open the QC One app on your mobile device.
Navigate to 'Settings' → 'User Preferences'.
Locate the 'Inspection sync range' section.
Tap the input field for 'Amount of days in the past'.
Enter the number of days in the past you wish to sync (e.g., 1).
Tap the input field for upcoming days.
Enter the number of days in the future you wish to sync (e.g., 7).
Click on 'Done' in the upper right corner to save your preferences and apply the changes.
Important Considerations
Default Window: If you do not set a custom timeframe, the system defaults to a 14-day sync window.
Unscheduled Inspections: You may occasionally see inspections that fall outside your selected date range. This typically occurs for inspections that do not yet have a confirmed 'Start Date' assigned in the portal.
Performance: Selecting a shorter timeframe (e.g., 0 to 3 days) will significantly increase the speed of your data synchronization.
App Version: This feature is available starting from app version 20.15.0. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version to access these settings.
Tips for Success
If you only work on daily tasks, set your timeframe to '0' days for both past and future to only sync inspections scheduled for today.
If you notice the app is slow during synchronization, try reducing your 'Upcoming days' range to see if performance improves.
