No longer using a product and want to clean up your active list?
If a product is no longer in use or you’re ready to retire it, you can choose to deactivate it. Deactivating a product won’t delete any data — instead, it will archive the product, removing it from your active list while keeping all records safely stored. This helps keep your workspace organized without losing historical information.
Keep in mind: It’s not possible to deactivate a product that’s still used in an active specification. To deactivate such a product, first open the relevant specifications — you’ll find them listed at the bottom of the product page. Remove the product from each specification. Once the product is no longer in use, you’ll be able to deactivate it.
Steps to deactivate a category:
Navigate to Library → Products
Open the tab with the name Products
Click on the ‘Deactivate product’ button next to the Product that should be deactivated
Good to know:
Only users with the user role Administrator can manage the list of categories
