Why Are Inspections Automatically Deleted?
In QC One, thousands of inspections are created every day. Many of these inspections are never completed, which can lead to a buildup of outdated or unused records. Over time, this can impact system performance and clutter your workspace with invalid data.
To keep QC One running efficiently and ensure a smooth experience for all users, inspections that meet certain criteria are automatically deleted. This helps maintain a clean, high-performing system.
When Are Inspections Deleted?
Inspections are only deleted when all of the following conditions are met:
The inspection status is “Waiting for QC”
The inspection has never been started
The ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) is more than 30 days in the past
By applying these rules, QC One ensures that only clearly outdated and unused inspections are removed. This keeps your data relevant and prevents unnecessary system load.
Keep in mind
When a user manually deletes an inspection in the QC One portal, the said inspection is in a so-called ''soft-deleted'' state in the backend part for another 30 days. This means that it is still visible and edittable for the QC One team for up to 30 days after a manual deletion in the portal. After 30 days, the inspection is auto deleted from the backend system as well and it is no longer visible to the QC One team.
Need to Keep an Inspection?
If you want to make sure an inspection isn’t deleted, simply start it or update the ETA. Only inspections that have remained untouched and outdated will be affected by this process.
