Why It's important to have the latest version?

Updating your app ensures a smooth User Experience and access to the most recent features, bug fixes, and security enhancements. Without updates, you may miss out on new functionality or experience issues that have already been resolved.

Different types of updates offered by QC One;

In general we distinguish two types of updates:

  1. Code Push Updates.

  2. Full App Releases.

Code Push Updates

Code push updates are minor updates that are delivered automatically within the application. These updates typically include small bug fixes or minor feature enhancements.

How to install Code Push Updates?

When a code push update is available, a popup notification will appear on your screen while you're using the app. The notification will prompt you to install the update. To proceed, simply click the "Install" button. After Installing, a manual restart of the application is necessary.

Full App Releases

Full releases are major updates that usually include new features, significant changes, and improvements to the application. These updates are not always automatically applied and might need to be downloaded manually. This depends on the App Store / Playstore settings of the user.

How to manually install a full app release for iOS Users

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Search for the QC Inspector.

  3. If an update is available, the "Update" button will appear next to the app. Tap "Update" to install the latest version.

How to manually install a full app release for iOS Users

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.

  2. Search for the QC One Inspector.

  3. If an update is available, you’ll see an "Update" button next to the app. Tap "Update" to download and install the latest version.

How to install updates when your Organization is using Mobile Device Management

Some organization manage their devices and software updates through a MDM (mobile device management) system. If your organization is using a MDM system as well, you will not be able to download QC One Inspector on your own. Please reach out to the responsible department within your organization and they will guide you through the process.

How do I know which application version I am working with?

You can view your current application version number on the Settings screen.

How to restart an application manually for Android devices?

Close apps through the Recent Apps menu

  • Tap the Recent Apps button (typically a square or three horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen).

  • Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.

  • Swipe the app off the screen (up or sideways, depending on the device) to close it.

How to restart an application manually for iPhone or iPad (iOS Devices)

  1. Close apps through the App Switcher with a Home button

  2. Double-tap the Home button to open the App Switcher.

  3. Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.

  4. Swipe up on the app to close it.

Close apps through the App Switcher On devices without a Home button (e.g., iPhone X and later)

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause to bring up the App Switcher.

  2. Swipe left or right to locate the app.

  3. Swipe up on the app to close it.
